The team consists of fully trained and experienced spacecraft engineers. This includes practical and academic experience in moving from concept to design of spacecraft, as well as design of missions. Size and complexity are no problem-- our experiences range from cubesats to Hubble and the ISS.
For Saber Astronautics this is a key competency. We understand large scale systems engineering design and have PhD expertise in Systems of Systems (SoS). We are one of the few centers in the world with demonstrated data driven capability in SoS modelling.
We have PhD level expertise in single vehicle robotics, field robots (rovers and UAVs) as well as multiple vehicle teams. Our members have hands-on experience in AI solutions using Bayesian Networks, Neural Networks, Genetic algorithms, and Mixture Models. These are key enablers of many of our programs.
We have experience in terrestrial and spacecraft communications engineering. Our engineers are especially practiced in design, prototyping, and fielding of Bluetooth modules and software defined radios.
Our members are formally trained practitioners in military space operations and space support. This includes Army Corps/Division level command operations, Army Space operations, and satellite groundstations.
We have strong computer modeling and rich 3D graphics simulation capabilities using both conventional (Matlab, R-Project, CAD) and non-conventional (Ogre3d, Unity) tools.
