The team is fully trained and experienced in the spacecraft design process. Members have both real world practical and academic experience in moving from concept to design of spacecraft and spacecraft mission designs. Size and complexity are no problem-- our expertise ranges from cubesat to complex constellation to Planetary Base.

For Saber Astronautics this is a key competency. Our members are competent in large scale systems engineering design and are experts in the new and growing field of Systems of Systems (SoS). We are one of the few centers in the world with demonstrated capability in modelling SoS

Our members have experience in terrestrial and spacecraft communications engineering. Our engineers are especially experienced in design, prototyping, and fielding of Bluetooth modules and software defined radios.

Real time embedded systems and robotics is a speciality of Saber Astronautics. We have PhD level expertise in single vehicle systems such as rovers as well as and multiple vehicle systems such as UAV teams. Team members have hands-on experience in AI solutions using Bayesian Networks, Neural Networks, Genetic algorithms, and Mixture Models. These are key enablers of many of our programs.

Our members were highly experienced professionals with military and space expertise. Our backgrounds include Army Corps/Division level command operations, Army Space operations, as well as spacecraft and rocket groundstation activity.

We are highly experienced in using simulation in the design and test cycle. We are very capable at scientific and mathematical analysis tools using Matlab. In 2009 we gained the capability of rich 3D graphics simulation.
